We design and facilitate workshops for organisations, researchers and communities exploring ecological change and possible futures. Inspired by critical utopian action research, our futuring workshops give participants space to question present conditions, name what stands in the way of change and imagine desirable alternatives. We can then turn these visions into tabletop role-playing scenarios, where participants explore how imagined futures might unfold through encounters, choices and unexpected consequences. Shared reflection connects these experiences back to everyday life and possibilities for change.
You can work with us on a standalone futuring or role-playing workshop, commission a scenario around a particular place or question, or develop a longer collaboration combining citizen engagement, qualitative research and collaborative game design. We shape the process together around your interests and the people taking part. No previous role-playing experience is needed.

We’re three human ecologists brought together by a love of playing and making stories with others. We create worlds and situations, then gather around a table to find out what happens. Everyone brings something: a choice, a disagreement, an unexpected attachment. The story grows between us.
Our games take us into the difficult questions of the green transition, climate collapse and extinction. What do we care for? What are we prepared to change? How do we live with loss and still make a future together? We want time to feel these questions, argue about them and follow them somewhere unfamiliar. We’re serious about the trouble we’re in, and stubborn about leaving room for imagination, play and hope.

Petr is an anthropologist and human ecologist whose love of role-playing became part of his research. In his thesis, he brought people together in an imagined world to explore their relationships with nature. He is interested in how the ways we live come to seem inevitable, and what happens when we give ourselves room to imagine otherwise. Questions of care, justice and whose worlds get to flourish run through his work.
Amund is a human ecologist and artist/producer with ten years of artistic work on human–nature relationships through Acting for Climate and Stretching Roots. His background spans performing arts and democratic citizen engagement, bringing people into shared experiences where these relationships can be felt and questioned. Immersion, pacing and participation are central to his practice.
Thomas is a human ecologist concerned with hope and grief in a changing world. His experience includes regenerative farming and coordinating green initiatives, alongside an interest in how we understand and imagine climate futures. He keeps returning to the question of what hope can mean when we take ecological loss seriously, and how we might find reasons to act together without knowing how things will turn out.
